2015/10/19 Day 1
Good-bye Philippines! Hello Japan!
I’ve never flown on a plane before but today was my very first time. So, all kinds of emotions were flooding inside of me before boarding on a plane for all I know about Japan were the only things I’ve heard and seen on movies, dramas and television. Up in the air wasn’t a smooth flight since we had lots of turbulence due to the typhoon. Indeed it was an adventurous one though I was a bit terrified. But we braved it and Good Heavens! The beautiful weather welcomed us as we landed in Fukuoka airport. It was a clear sunny day and the temperature was just perfect which reminded me of my city’s weather back in the Philippines. On our way to Nagasaki, I was in total awe with the things I’m seeing. It was kind of like a different planet to me for it was so clean and serene. Upon arrival in the city, we headed straight to our Language School then to our apartment that is up on a hill. Right there and then, I told myself, “ I’m in Nagasaki for real and this is not a dream.” At last, I got to see David-sensei and Tim-sensei in person after a year of just talking to them on Skype. The thrill doesn’t stop here because I’m going to see more people soon…that means… lots of surprises coming up!
